Assignment 2: Part 1 - Watch both the 2 minute video by Ira Glass and the 15 minute TED Talk with designer icon Milton Glaser.  On your blog, note the concepts that struck you as important in this competitive world of design.  What inspires you to learn about and do good design?  From the two videos, the things that most intrigued me were the way that Ira Glass explained design. He said that everyone has their own taste, even if their designs at the beginning aren't good; that you just have to create deadlines and push yourself to do work and you will eventually get better, you just have to work on it. In the TED talk, I found most interesting the way Milton Glaser did the assignments his boss gave him. The way he took quotes, even ones that didn't have any imagery and made something with them. Assignment 5: In this assignment you will be creating a new 26 letter alphabet, using any number of mediums, such as paint, pencil, computer, and collage, or anything else that comes to mind. For this assignment I decided to use my twin cousins. They were required to create the alphabet with their bodies. Jessica and Jazmine Reyes.

Immune System Sketchnotes!

 I found that these were pretty difficult for me. I think that sketch notes are a great way to learn and to make connections. Though I did feel like it takes me longer to process things and to actually find a connection between words and pictures. Then trying to organize it in a way too so that other people were able to understand it and see my way of thinking.
